ABOUT CS

ICSI (Institute of Company Secretaries of India) is a premier national professional institute established under an Act of Parliament. ICSI functions under the ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. The CS Course is by Correspondence/Distance learning with provision for optional oral coaching classes. Admissions are open throughout the year.

Demand vs Supply
The Institute of Company Secretaries (ICSI) has on its rolls 21042 members including 3253 members holding certificate of practice. Now the institute wants to increase the number of members to 5000 by the end of the year 2010. The number of current student enrolled for the course is over 1,50,000.

CS Foundation Programme

Any student who has passes Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination Pass candidates in Arts, Science and Commerce streams (excluding fine arts) are eligible for admission in CS foundation course. The exam papers of CS foundation programme are as under:
Paper:1. English and Business Communication (100 Marks)
Paper: 2 Economics (50 Marks) and Statistics (50 Marks)
Paper: 3 Financial Accounting (100 Marks)
Paper: 4 Elements of Business Law (60 Marks) and Management (40 Marks).
